CranioSacral Therapy is a hands-on modality that encourages the body’s natural ability to heal. The CranioSacral system includes the membranes and cerebral spinal fluid that line and protect the spinal cord and brain. Much like the cardiac pulse, or the movement created by breathing, the CranioSacral system also has a rhythm. The therapist uses this rhythm to assess the body for restrictions and treats them in a gentle and encouraging way. This approach can be effective at helping with conditions of the nervous system, headaches and migraines, stress reduction and relief, sleep challenges, TMJ disorders and much more.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Prenatal massage has most of the same benefits of a regular massage. Research indicates that is most helpful in addressing symptoms such as stiffness, pain, anxiety and depression. It can also help reduce swelling in the calves and feet, muscular stiffness in areas like the neck, back, lower legs and feet. It’s possible that frequent treatments throughout the pregnancy can increase flexibility and feelings of relaxation. Your massage therapist will customise and create a treatment plan for you based on your needs and medical history intake.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY

It is widely understood that massage therapy decreases stress and helps control pain. Perhaps less known is the effectiveness of massage therapy in treating deeper structures of the body such as ligaments, bones and joints, fascia, blood vessels, organs and other soft tissues of the body.

Massage therapy can provide relief for many common conditions such as:

  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Pregnancy discomfort
  • Cancer treatment side effects such as swelling, and pain
  • Low Back Pain
  • Stress Relief
  • Tendonitis
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Sports injuries
  • Occupational discomfort
  • Repetitive strain

Current research suggests that there is a direct link between our physical well-being and our mental or emotional state, which can be positively affected by massage therapy. Research also supports the use of massage therapy as an effective approach in injury management and rehabilitation, as well as part of a preventive care program
